My name is Jordana Park. I came into your salon in May and bought a Maggie Sattoro dress. It was champagne and I loved it… We ended up adding a sash to the dress and my grandmothers brooch.

My wedding was on October 12th. It was a beautiful day, we had it in Innisfil, next to Barrie.

I have tried to spread the word about your salon. I truly believe that what you are doing is a wonderful thing.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to recycle, donate to a wonderful cause and to have the dress of my dreams.

Thank you again
Jordana

Here’s a funny one. Melody came in and had a hard time deciding, so we mutually decided to just take pics, give it a rest, and come back again :) Her pics are above and below. Frankly, she’s look fab in anything, but the decision was tough because she really did pick 2 awesome dresses that we all loved. At the end of the day… the classic won!

Here’s Melody’s note:

Hi Helen,

Just wanted to let you know how happy we were with the wedding dress
(a.k.a. ‘broach’) that you so patiently helped us choose. Thank you
so much for your wedding dress expertise, guidance and good humour.
‘Dress Day’ was a definite highlight for us thanks to you and your
wonderful business!

We have just finished editing the photos we received from family and
friends (our photographer had cancelled the week of the wedding so we
had to improvise). We have attached the best of the wedding dress
shots below.

Cheers to your Sun Chips super-stardom! – we happened to stumble upon
a bag while honeymooning in Newfoundland. We wish you continued
success in the many years to come!

All the best,
Melody & Jacob

Below is a dress from a donor, and I have to say, WOW. Don’t worry about minor cleaning details, it all comes out and ends up as good as new. This dress certanly won’t last long in the shop!!!

Yowza!

Our donors come from all over Canada, many send their dresses in via Canada Post or other means. But it gives you a good idea of the personal donations we get. While 90% are brand new, the personal donations tend to sell really fast, because if one bride loved the dress, another one is sure to!

Barbie… it was SO nice to see Barb after well over a year I think, and now she has wee little Ewan as well. Her dress is back, it’s gorgeous, and so was she on her wedding day!

Here’s another pic from her day. Talk about nice decor! She dropped off the lights and stuff here for another bride to enjoy!

I purchased my wedding dress from you about a year ago. I had heard of The Brides Project from my friend Kim and really wanted to check it out since both my father and my sister are cancer survivors. My first visit there I fell in love with a dress and for some reason I didn’t buy it, but I thought about that dress all week! I went back the next weekend and the dress was still there……it was ment to be, so I bought the dress. It was only a few months after buying my “dream dress” that my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She went though chemo and had just finished her last radiation treatment the week of my wedding.

Knowing I bought my dress from a place like The Brides Project made it even more special to me. I just wanted to Thank you for all that you do, you truly are amazing. My experience there was one I’ll never forget. I’m not sure if you realize how many lives you touch doing what you do, but you touched mine!
Thanks for making my experience one to remember.

This is SO funny. A client was sitting on Sauble beach eating Sunchips (French Onion) and found the advertisement about me ‘n’ the Brides’ Project on the back. So she took a picture of the bag for me! You know you’ve achieved fame when… LMAO!

“I was determined to have an economical and somewhat environmental ‘small’ wedding of 30 people. It was held at my family cottage… and we even went for a canoe ride!”

Diane and Brad were married on August 26, 2006. We wish you joy and love for the rest of your lives. Oh Diane, thanks for donating the dress back to TBP.

Here are some beautiful photos of Barbara from her March 2007 wedding to Chris. We wish the two of you the greatest joy and happiness for the rest of your lives. Barbara purchased her veil in October 2006 from Helen and she said that everyone commented on how beautiful it is. Your gown was stunning too Barbara.

Here’s a photo of Sophie and David on their wedding day in August 2006. We hope that you’re always as happy as you are here.

Sophie wrote:

“I wanted to thank you for my beautiful veil. It turned out exactly as I had hoped and went so well with my dress. It was perfect! You were so helpful and did such a wonderful job.”

Above are Sophie and David’s guys Aikido (black and white) and Tengu all dressed up for the occasion.
