Val's Bridal Cleaning Service

Val will clean your gown without a doubt. I'm not sure what her prices are, but they are always much less than a dry cleaner, and the service is much better. There are coupons here for $10 off her regular charge of $85 for those buying their gown at The Brides' Project.

Gown Alterations by Pearl

Pearl Seto is a gem, and an incredibly talented person to alter your dress. I nickname her 'mum' because she is so sweet, and also has so much to teach me. She has 25 years of experience, works for Alfred Sung, and had worked in many salons in Toronto. Pearl is embracing our commitment to quality and service and contributing to our brides and the community.

Pearl and I discussed various standard alterations, costs, etc., and in most cases, rather than paying $250 and up in the salons, her charges average about $80-$120. Keep in mind, if you're asking for something drastic, it will cost you more. I've had nothing but raving reviews of her work and pricing.

Dressmaker and Gown Alterations by Pom Penner

Pom is the dressmaker for designer Olwyn Fleury, and is another professional I trust beyond a doubt. She does fittings at Olwyn's studio in the Yonge/Bloor area frequently, and you can also visit her in Markham. Pom is a delight, and feedback has been nothing but positive. She is a cosummate professional in her trade, and has also saved many brides during what we call '911' calls here... salons that have messed up, etc. Pom can also be entirely trusted to make your gown fit like a glove, no matter what is needed.
