Hi Helen - I was just browsing your website (I'm a bride to be) and wanted to say that you and your volunteers are doing great work! I think this is a wonderful initiative and it sounds like you might appreciate some extra help.

Unfortunately, I can't commit to volunteering at the shop (I travel a lot for work), but I was wondering if you wanted someone to help take photos of your dresses and maybe help post the dresses on the site? I have a pretty good digital camera that is available.

What do you think?

Hi Monica! We do have a small selection of destination-style dresses in the house which don't have trains, but it's a mix of sizes and styles on one rack.

Everyone's idea of a traditional wedding dress is a little different. We receive nearly all of our stock from bridal salons, so if you've been to a bridal salon you will see that most of what we have isn't very different because salons are our main source for wedding gowns. If you're looking for a particular style that's currently available in 2009 retail catalogues, chances are we don't have it (yet). However, we do also receive donations from individuals, so if your timing is such that a recently-wedded bride has donated her dress and you're the same size, you could be the lucky owner of a fashionable wedding dress with excellent karma!

As well, Toronto is a cosmopolitan city and our dress donors are from all over the world. Sometimes we really have no idea where a dress was purchased, so it may be in a style that you've never seen in a Canadian bridal shop before.

Our inventory changes constantly. We have a spectrum of styles that range from gowns with coloured overlays to 'cupcake' shapes. We encourage you to make an appointment and see the selection for yourself, you may find your wedding dress in our collection. We hope this answers your question!

Hi, I just came across your site. I am planning a small wedding up north - do you have less 'formal' or less 'traditional' wedding dresses in your selection as well?
Thanks!
